We are excited to have partnered with a market leading construction / engineering firm based in South Wales. 

Due to continued success our client is looking for a talented Buyer to join their team.  Working closely with the Production Manager you will play a key role in the procurement of a wide range of materials specific to each project; working closely with Architects, Clients and suppliers.

 Key Responsibilities                                                                                                                                                                                                      

• Independently managing all supplier relationships.
• Perform on time delivery of products or services and negotiate with suppliers to ensure best quality and value for money.
• Conducting price / market analysis and driving annual cost reduction.
• Working closely with the production team to ensure accurate costings.

 

 

 

 

 

What you need to apply:-

 

• Previous experience of working as a Buyer.
• Analytical approach with superb problem-solving skills.
• Proven experience of managing a busy workload.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with both internal and external customers.
• Confidently be able to demonstrate proven cost savings.
• Personable and friendly character
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Superb attention to detail
• Proficient in MS Office packages, including Excel.
• Previous experience of working with architects or construction professionals considered highly desirable but not essential.
